Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, yet profound healing modality that works directly with the central nervous system, releasing stress and tension held deep in our bodies tissues. Craniosacral therapy has multiple proven health benefits for babies, children and adults. CST has many advantages for babies with muscular, tissue, and fascial tension due to womb positioning, labor and delivery stress, tethered oral tissue (i.e. tongue tie), torticollis, and other health related issues.  As a Craniosacral Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist trained in Oral Motor and Myofunctional therapy,  a gentle, non- invasive, intra-oral (in the mouth) therapy may be utilized to help alleviate jaw tension and oral discomfort in babies to help improve his/her latch and to increase comfort for mother and baby.  Mothers' often report that CST aids in better sleep for their babies, improved neck mobility, latching, and a more relaxed and happier baby.  The craniosacral system envelops the brain and the spinal cord, directly working with the central nervous system and helping restore and rebalance the nervous system.  Craniosacral Therapy is also beneficial for children, teenagers and adults in decreasing stress and anxiety, headaches, ear pain, vertigo, gut health issues, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), TMJ dysfunction, ADHD, tongue-ties, and many other conditions.

Sara Mangano began her training over 25 years ago in communication therapy, craniosacral therapy, energy medicine and holistic health.  Deep studies (and ongoing training) in communication therapy, craniosacral therapy, somatic embodiment therapy, somatic emotional release work, reiki and energy healing, has given her the profound knowledge and skills to facilitate deep self healing practices for individuals to metabolize trauma and restore and rebalance their nervous systems for overall improved health.  A healthy, balanced nervous system allows for release and restoration of strained fascial, muscle and tissue tension, enabling a healthier and happier body, mind, and soul.

Sara values a team approach, and often collaborates with other professionals including lactation consultants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, myofunctional therapists, dentists, otolarygonologists, pediatricians, therapists, and

Sara has deep passion for this work, and thanks each client and family for all of the learning and wisdom gained from decades of practice.

Craniosacral Therapy
Babies, Children, and Adults

Craniosacral Therapy is a light touch therapy with profound changes to the central nervous system.  Individuals report feeling deeply relaxed with decreased stress and tension.  Each session is approximately 60 minutes and the client is fully clothed in a supine position.  Sessions are individualized to meet the the client's specific needs and may include an herbal consultation.

Babies and toddlers will often be treated on a parent's lap, rug, and/or massage table.  Age appropriate toys are available in the room and a safe and comfortable environment is provided for nurturing and safety during the therapeutic session.

Sara Mangano has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 24 years.  She has found craniosacral

therapy to be highly beneficial in her speech therapy practice for her students with stuttering,

articulation, and oral motor needs.  Craniosacral therapy also includes mouth work, which can help individuals with articulation delays related to oral motor dysfunction.  Craniosacral therapy aids children and teenagers in alleviating stress and tension related to their language, social communication skills, and learning differences.
